For just over a week we asked you to vote for the Best Soap Bang of 2010 choosing between the Queen Vic fire in EastEnders, the Tram-Crash in Coronation Street and ‘Fire Week’ in Hollyoaks. Well voting has now closed and we can reveal the winner.
For just over a week we asked you to vote for the Best Soap Bang of 2010 choosing between the Queen Vic fire in EastEnders, the Tram-Crash in Coronation Street and ‘Fire Week’ in Hollyoaks. Well voting has now closed and we can reveal the winner. First off though a whopping 22, 624 votes were cast making Best Soap Bang of 2010 our second most popular poll to date. (On our archive site you will find the first most popular was Best Current UK Gay Storyline which had over 1 million votes).
Was there any doubt as to who would win this poll though? After all the stunt itself was particularly speculator but then what would you expect when £1 million had been spent on it! Yes in first place with 98.2% of the vote was the Tram Crash in Coronation Street. It is perhaps fitting at the 50th anniversary storyline for the Granada soap should win this poll.
In second place with 202 votes which is 0.9% of the vote is EastEnders for the Queen Vic fire and only narrowly behind with 199 votes and the same percentage is Hollyoaks for ‘Fire Week’.
