Weekly Poll: Favourite Stargate Series Revealed
After a week of voting we can reveal which Stargate series our readers think is the best.
When we decided to ask Stargate fans which entry in the franchise was their favourite/the best we knew it was going to be a slightly provocative question – we knew it could get a response and it certainly did. It’s kind of like asking Star Trek fans to name the best television series – you’ll get Voyager and Next Generation fans battling it out while original and Enterprise fans lock horns.
But we asked the question anyway and we got plenty of comments on it and also over forty thousand votes. So which Stargate series was the winner? Well very early on Stargate Universe took the lead but in the end it couldn’t get up with its rivals Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.
The winner with 42.% and 17,117 votes is Stargate Atlantis. Parent series Stargate SG-1 is in second place with 32.2% and 13,030 votes while Stargate Universe came last with 25.4% and 10,257 votes.
