Poll Results: Will Phil Give Peggy A Black Eye?

Earlier this week we asked the great brains of Britain, and also EastEnders fans, whether they thought Phil Mitchell would give his own mother a bruiser. Of course Phil’s brother Grant has form to hit anything that moves, but Phil…? The only thing he’s really been interested in hitting is the bottle. 

15.8% said ‘No, Phil isn’t like Grant’ believing that script plotters give a damn about previous characteristics in the show.

46.2% of you said ‘Yes he will and that Pat will be furious.’ Nearly 500 of the 1000 votes cast went with this option.

While 38% decided that they didn’t care either way and they preffered Coronation Street.

An Elstree source told ATV “It’s all kicking off between Phil and Peggy next month when Louise goes missing in her grandmothers care. Peggy is in a foul mood anyway with Roxy selling The Vic, so much so she trashes it in an attempt to put off buyers.

“Phil is tempted to have another boozing session however Peggy walks on him and starts telling him he’s not fit to be a father, something he’s been told several times before of course. This time however he’s had enough and violently whacks his mother across the face leaving her with a black eye.”

Peggy of course has been slapped so many times in Albert Square she brings a whole new meaning to the resident slapper.
