Andy Gray to return to UK TV – Three Years after Getting the Sack

Former footballer, Andy Gray will make a return to TV screens, three years to the day after he was sacked by Sky Sports as their main pundit for sexist remarks.

Gray is to return to television as a commentator on BT Sport tonight.

The former Everton player looks set to co-commentate his former team’s match at Stevenage. In 2010, he along with presenter Richard Keys fell foul of leaked footage of them mocking female lines-woman Sian Massey. Further footage of Gray made inappropriate comments to fellow Sky Sports’ presenter Charlotte Jackson.

Keys resigned, Gray was fired. Since January 2010, Andy Gray along with Richard Keys presented a mid-morning show on Talksport, which was successful. Since August 2013 they now present a Friday evening football preview show for the station, alongside moving to Doha to front BeIn Sport’s TV output.

It is likely Gray will be alongside former Sky Sports commentator Ian Darke.
