Roller Derby Till I Die is a brand new factual entertainment series which introduces the fast-paced, exciting sport of Roller Derby to the small screen outside of the USA for the first time.
Featuring the roller skating action from the London Rollergirls League – the UK’s premier Roller Derby team – each of the weekly 30 minute episodes (broadcast in double bills) delve deep into the lives of the passionate and dedicated women who participate in this high impact, adrenaline-fuelled sport. For many skaters, the sport is a way of life, and it has acquired a devoted and growing fan base across the world.
In episode one, we meet TreeKill Tart, a rookie on a mission to make the big league and roll with the competitive London Rollergirls team. The try-outs are tough, and put all the wannabes through their paces to see who has what it takes to wear the infamous pink LRG kit and compete in the international leagues.
Rollergirl by night, TreeKill Tart aka Theresa Brown, aged 35, is a Park Ranger by day. TreeKill plays in the Blocker position and lives with her Mum in London.
Roller Derby is a full contact sport and revolves around two teams of five skating in the same direction around an indoor track. Both teams try to block each other from scoring points which are awarded when the sprint skater (jammer) is passed by a member of the opposing team. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
The action is intense, the stories personal and the personalities big as Roller Derby Till I Die brings this fast and furious female sport exclusively to Extreme.
