Meet Callum, our Sports Features Reporter

We thought at ATV Today it would be nice to finally introduce you to our latest recruit, with his own section, ATV Sport.

Hi, I’m Callum Patterson and I am part of ATV Today’s Sport section.

I am a young man aiming to try and break into Sports broadcasting. I have being writing articles on ATV Today since late 2010 and I hope you enjoy reading them on the big broadcasting sporting stories as they happen.

I also broadcast on TD1 Radio, community radio based in the Scottish Borders. It is a radio station that tries it’s very based to provide local live programming and wide range of music in a time were commercial radio has taking a bit of a downwards spiral in recent years with the increasing amount of networking.  I broadcast Monday – Friday mornings 1-6am and  Sunday Afternoon’s between 2 and 6pm where I cover the weekend’s sport and play mix of old and new songs.  For a community Radio Station and little money, we have pulled of some great achievements, one that I am proud of happened was very recently on the Premier League Survival Sunday weekend where We utilised IRN’s Reporters at all the grounds to produce updates as they happened during the dramatic 90 minutes of football.

When the new sporting season launches in August, I hope to use my sporting round ups and results service from my programme here on ATV Today with weekly audio clips.
