Lark Rise to CandlefordThe majority of ATV Today readers think the BBC were wrong to axe its Sunday evening drama Lark Rise to Candleford.  All week a poll on the ATV Today website asked readers whether they thought the BBC were right to axe the costume drama. The results of the poll reveal 94% of our readers believe the series should not have been cancelled. Just 5.7% agreed with the corporation’s decision to scrap the drama.

The BBC announced it was cancelling the drama in January as new BBC One controller Danny Cohen declined to renew the series. However, there was already some doubt over its future because writer Bill Gallagher had stated season four would be his last.
