19.27 – Tess and Bruce are surprised at how good the celebrity dance routine was. And the show ends, reminding viewers the series begins in three weeks.
19.23 – The ‘cast’ of Strictly Come Dancing 2010 perform live for the first time. The celebrities and professionals dance to Let’s Get The Party Started.
19.22 – The judges are asked their views of the pair ups. Len believes there are some great pairings, and some that won’t work so well.
19.18 – 19.20 – Ann and Felicity are paired with their male professionals, Bruce proclaims that Ann is his favourite.
19.17 – Final two contestants are introduced, Ann and Felicity.
19.14 – The ‘Strictly Show Dancers’ perform Ballroom Blitz. Technical cock-up during the performance, Anne Widdecome in a still appears on screen for 3 seconds.
19.09 – 19.13 – Jimi, Gavin and Kara are paired with their professional dancers.
19.08 – The next three celebrities are introduced, Gavin, Jimi and Kara.
19.04 – All the professional dancers put on a performance in a group routine to the song Two Tribes.
18.59 – 19.03 – Paul, Patsy and Goldie are paired with their professionals.
18.59 – Paul and Bruce discuss who’s the oldest and has been in the business longest. You’ll like it, not a lot, but you’ll like it.
18.57 – Another three contestants are looked at in more detail Goldie, Patsy and Paul.
18.54 – The contestants will perform in a group dance later, Bruce introduces a look at the rehearsals for this dance. Paul Daniels gives the gathered posse some tricks to wow over, while Ann Widdecome finds the whole thing too loud.
18.48 – 18.52 – Michelle Williams, Pamela Stephenson and Tina O’Brien are paired with their professional male dancers.
18.47 – Three female contestants are looked at in more detail, Tina Pamela and Michelle.
18.42 – Tess has a new ‘home’ to chat with the celebrity dancers. Her ‘tower’ above the ‘ballroom’ with a live view of the studio. From her tower she introduces the new male professional dancers, who go on to perform to ‘Live and Let Die’.
18.38 – 18.40 – Scott Maslen, Matt Baker and Peter Shilton are paired with their female professionals.
18.35 – Three male contestants are looked at in more detail, Scott, Matt and Peter.
18.33 – A change to the format, the dancers don’t know who their professional partners are yet. They’ll be paired tonight and will only have three weeks of rehearsal before the live dance shows. Judge Len Goodman believes that this years line up of celebrities is the “best ever.”.
18.31 – This years contestants are revealed live in the studio.
18.28 – Bruce and Tess arrive after a intoductory dance by the professional dancers. Tess in a lovely whore red frock. The set has changed from a traditional ballroom style into an ‘electric ballroom’ look.
18.25 – The show begins, the new contestants (outside TV Centre) with their Brucie impressions of ‘Nice to see you, to see you nice’. Very shory opening titles, however as this is a launch special that may change when the series starts ‘properly’ in a few weeks time.
18.21 – We’re just waiting for John Barrowman to stop a singing.
