Artist applications open for 2025 Voila! Theatre Festival

Celebrated for its panlingual, genre-defying, and cross-cultural programming, Voila! is returning this November across eight venues in London…

Voila! Theatre Festival has today announced that applications for this year’s festival are open. Companies making genre-defying, panlingual, border-busting theatre are invited to apply to bring their work to the Voila! Theatre Festival, which will run from 3 – 23 November.

The Voila! Theatre Festival is in 2025 to take place at eight London Venues: The Cockpit, Barons Court Theatre, Theatre Deli, Etcetera Theatre, The Playground Theatre, The Questors Theatre – Studio, The Space Theatre and Theatro Technis.

Happening across the London venues each offering a variety of spaces and layouts ranging from 50 – 220 seats available, the festival is a place for artists to create, to connect, and to celebrate collaboration.

The festival supports individuals and companies to make a daring leap: presenting a new piece of work, touring to a new audience, or translating a play into a new language. Previous programmes have included cross-cultural mash-ups, adaptations, bilingual comedies, devised theatre, solo performance, puppetry, clowning, circus, dance, music, stand-up, family shows, and more.

Elsa Couvreur, who previously brought her show The Sensemake to Voila!:

“Participating in Voila! gave me the opportunity to explore new ways of expressing myself creatively. The festival hosted the premiere of what has now become my signature show, ‘The Sensemaker’. This solo-show has now been performed over 100 times in six different languages and has won 14 international awards so far. Voila! Is where it all began’

Voila! Theatre Festival is produced by The Cockpit and supported by City of Westminster College, part of United Colleges Group.

Artist Applications are now open until 22 April, via Eventotron. All information on how to apply can be found on the festival website: www.voilafestival.co.uk
