Pick of the Plots: Tuesday April 25th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in River City, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Tuesday.

SoapWeek: River City

Amber is thrown a curveball when Fraser turns up begging for money. Terrified Lenny will spot Charlotte in Shieldinch, Amber agrees to get Fraser the money if he lays low. Meanwhile, Lenny’s adamant Charlotte should be with her mother, forcing Amber to lie about her daughter’s whereabouts. Later, when Amber meets with Fraser she’s horrified to see him taken away by some heavies, leaving her alone with Charlotte. Assuming Lenny is behind the abduction; Amber confronts her father but when the truth is finally revealed it makes the Murdoch’s united in their desire to protect Charlotte from Fraser once and for all.

Kim discovers Bob can’t have children. She tries to reassure him that it doesn’t affect the way she feels about him but he senses her disappointment. Bob confides in Angus who considers the prospect of being a sperm donor for the couple, but the idea later leads to crossed wires and red faces all round. 

Elsewhere, Greig struggles with being wheelchair bound and clashes with Frankie.

River City, Tuesday at 8pm on BBC One Scotland.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Shirley breaks the news that Linda has agreed to sell the freehold but Mick isn’t to know yet. Uneasy about keeping it from him, Whitney tries to get in touch with Mick but is caught in the act by Woody. Will Shirley go through with it? Later the Carters throw themselves into Ladies Night and Woody has a surprise up his sleeve – strippers. Johnny catches the eye of one.

Kim persuades Denise to come to The Albert’s quiz night with Carmel and Kush leading to an awkward evening. Kim manages to persuade Kush and Denise to join her and Vincent on holiday.

Elsewhere, Honey grows frustrated when Derek struggles to get the hang of his job at the Minute Mart and later invites himself along with Billy and Honey to the quiz night; Max takes Lauren and Abi out for a drink.

EastEnders, Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Rhona is in a state of shock following Pierce’s brutal actions. She’s incredulous when Pierce tries to twist what’s just happened. Desperate to get away from her new husband, will she succeed? And, if she does, will she report him to the police? Meanwhile, their oblivious friends and neighbours continue to celebrate their marriage at The Woolpack.

Jai hears some distressing news about Nell and decides to help while elsewhere, Victoria is upset that Adam has given up on their relationship so easily and takes control by returning his belongings to him.

Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Harry visits Ste in prison who asks him to go to Amy’s funeral to say sorry on his behalf. During the service Mike steps in to help Ryan when the emotion gets too much during the eulogy.

Meanwhile, Joel is confused to see that Warren is loitering at the church, what’s he up to? He confronts his dad and is sickened when he realises that Warren killed Bart and has buried him in Amy’s grave.

Elsewhere, Kathy doesn’t accept Ste’s apology and Leah and Lucas overhear her say that Ste killed Amy. Ellie stands up to Nick.

Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Ayesha says an emotional farewell to Karl as he heads back to Germany. He insists the army are going to help with his medical condition now but Ayesha worries he’s expecting too much too soon. Sid returns from his break feeling positive and rejuvenated.

It’s Megan’s first day at the Mill. Jimmi is particularly pleased to see her and even Heston is pleasantly surprised by how quickly she seems to fit in. But there’s one person who isn’t happy to see her and he is determined to make her life as difficult as possible…

Elsewhere, Valerie stumbles across three strangers who are connected but need to make peace with their pasts. Can she help them?

Doctors, Tuesday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
