Pick of the Plots: Tuesday March 7th
SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in River City, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Tuesday.
On the run and off his medication, Pete enters a manic phase while Mikey is convinced they’re being followed. Paranoid, the pair hide out in Mikey’s old flat which only serves to heighten Mikey’s fragile mental state and Pete’s anxiety.
Mikey becomes convinced his friend has betrayed him when Caitlin calls Pete on his mobile phone. As Mikey’s world begins to crumble, Pete seeks help from the outside world which shines a light on his own mental state, forcing him to face up to some unsettling truths.
Having realised Amber was the one who shot him, Lenny struggles with what to do next. Amber realises he’s on to her.
Elsewhere, Angel prepares to leave Shieldinch while Patrick faces up to a life without her. Bob urges him to follow his heart and start a new life in Berlin with Angel but he’s frightened he’ll break her heart again.
River City, Tuesday at 8pm on BBC One Scotland.
Martin’s world turns upside down when he is called to Bex’s school, after previously reporting the unsavoury social media post featuring his daughter. Martin doesn’t react well to what he hears at the school.
Later, with Bex offering little in the way of an explanation, Martin struggles to keep his cool and shuns his daughter.
At The Vic, the Carters celebrate Sylvie’s birthday but fearing for his future, Mick instead gets drunk leaving Whitney to try and help. Whitney’s actions initially rile Mick but when Whitney opens up to him, he cracks and breaks down.

Aaron asks his cell mate for drugs but he tells him he needs to go to Jason. Later, whilst visiting Aaron with Paddy, Liv notices Aaron is not himself. With Paddy out of earshot, Liv confronts her brother and warns him behaving stupidly could jeopardise his appeal. Angry at his response, she walks out but will Aaron heed her advice?
Chrissie is determined to patch things up with Lachlan. And as last ditch attempt tries to get a message to him via Belle. Rebecca tells Lawrence how Ronnie set Chrissie up.
Elsewhere, Pierce is annoyed with Vanessa when she points out he and Rhona might be engaged but there is still no ring. Finn decides to go to Australia alone which worries Emma.
Emmerdale, Tuesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
John Paul and Ste wake up after spending the night together. Later, Harry agrees to move in with Amy but when Ste calls John Paul and tells him he’s happy with Harry despite their night of pash, it’s James who takes the call…
Mercedes and Sally are convinced that Diego is up to no good when Myra tells them they’re moving to Spain. Hearing Myra’s good news, Frankie confronts Diego, but he wins her round and scams more cash out of her. Later, Diego admits to Myra that he’s conning Frankie.
Elsewhere, Warren is desperate to find Shane and threatens Goldie to help; Goldie guesses that Cleo has feelings for Joel; and Darren and Nancy decide to make every day count.
Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
Heston and Ruhma clash when they have very different ideas about the perfect dinner party. Al desperately tries to connect with his mother, and Mrs Tembe and Charles finally meet.
