Pick of the Plots: Friday March 3rd

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Friday.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Fiz disapproves of Chesney selling Sinead’s stuff, to make amends Chesney gives Sinead a hotel voucher he’d bought for the two of them, however as Sinead goes to use it she realises that she’s pregnant. Later, Daniel’s horrified to discover the predicament he and Sinead are in. 

When Adam tells Ken he’s passed his exams and only has one more to go, Ken’s unimpressed, pointing out he’s a cheat. Meanwhile Tracy persuades Adam to help out in the flower shop. Adam offers to deliver a flower order and Tracy hands him Ken’s car keys. Adam pulls up in front of (drug dealer) Ronan Truman’s house.

Elsewhere, Bethany feels grown up after having an implant, but she’s later mortified when Sarah confesses that she’s left a message on Nathan’s phone with an invitation to tea; Rita, Yasmeen, Erica, Rana and Brian join Sally in her protest at the building site and when Gary suggests they call it off, Rita’s incensed and chains herself to the railings with Brian’s bicycle lock.

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Ian is persuaded to celebrate his birthday at the Vic with his family. Meanwhile, Kim and Carmel speculate over Denise’s baby daddy some more, which results in Kim coming to a shocking conclusion.  

With his finances is dire straits, Mick prepares for the visit from the bank but will he get the answer he is hoping for?

Elsewhere, Stacey encourages Bex to go to The Vic for Ian’s drinks but the night ends in embarrassment for Bex. Shirley reluctantly helps Tina plan Sylvie’s 75th birthday party.

EastEnders, Friday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Aaron’s prison woes continue when the top dog catches wind of the fact he is Gordon’s son.

Chrissie confides in Rebecca about what happened with Ronnie. Meanwhile, Diane has suspicions about who is actually staying in the B & B. The mystery is solved by Pollard via an unorthodox plan, but how will Diane react?

Elsewhere, Chas encourages Charity to join Sarah in Prague – ultimately agreeing to accompany her; Rishi encourages Priya and Rakesh to move back home in spite of their business plans but what will Jai have to say?

Emmerdale, Friday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Charlie continues to snub Nancy over missing his play However, he is later troubled by her internet search history.

Leela is convinced Cameron is stalking her. A shadowy figure watches her sleep on the sofa and she wakes with a startle when the back door bangs in the wind. Tegan and Courtney encourage Leela to face her fears but she receives a worrying picture message.

Elsewhere, Adam is furious at Neeta for standing by Grace. Neeta is delighted when Sally offers her a place to stay.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Daniel finds a picture Joe has drawn of the scene from the camping shop. He worries to Zara that Joe will never see him in the same way again now he has seen him fail. He’d have been better off walking out of the shop and not saying he was a Doctor.

Zara tries to support him, and offers to come with him when he says he wants to go and visit the family of the dead man. He would rather go on his own. Daniel goes to Sarah’s house, and finds a numb widow. She wonders if he just visited her to make her feel better. He doesn’t know the answer. He can’t say exactly what caused the heart attack. She seems to have accepted that there was no-one at fault when Brian, the annoying salesperson, arrives, puts doubt in her minds. She asks Daniel to leave, saying that she needs to phone her solicitor.

Mrs Tembe prepares a complaint letter to the Trust. JJ comes and tells her he overheard the nurses saying that Mrs Tembe can be discharged later. It is clear Mrs Tembe has mixed feelings about this. She is taken away by a porter, and is upset it isn’t JJ. He appears just as she is about to leave, and she tells him she has enjoyed their chats, and they part, Mrs Tembe watching him as he goes.  While a mother has to deal with the death of her estranged daughter after receiving a call from her boyfriend.

Doctors, Friday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
