Pick of the Plots: Monday February 13th

SoapWorld takes a look at the goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Monday.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Daniel and Adam entertain their lady friends at the flat. Sinead feels Daniel might be moving too fast when he asks her to move in while Adam sneakily forms a plan after hearing about Rosie and Sophie’s drug dilemma. Meanwhile, Sophie tells Kevin she’s quitting the garage and Sinead is made homeless by Chesney. Daniel struggles to keep his cool as Chesney goads, he promises Sinead she can stay with him but Ken is unimpressed at the arrangement.  

Bethany is visited by Nathan’s assistant Mel and opens up to her that she thinks Nathan only sees her as a ‘silly little girl’. Mel hands her a necklace and explains that Nathan bought it for her to wear in her next video. After Gary suggests they should be encouraging Bethany’s hobby, Sarah tells Bethany that she should continue with the videos.

Elsewhere, Zeedan and Alya bury the hatchet for their gran’s sake; Luke surprises Tracy with a trip away for Valentine’s Day but when she’s unimpressed to find out there’s another reason for the trip.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Whitney confides in Lauren as her relationship with Lee reaches breaking point.  

Michelle arranges to meet an old friend but is disappointed when he proves a no show. Meanwhile, Jay struggles with the results of Roxy’s medical report. With Bex offering to keep an eye on Sylvie, Tina and Donna go on a night out together.

Elsewhere, Ian gives Jane an early Valentine’s Day present; Stacey suggests Carmel takes Arthur to baby yoga.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

It’s the anniversary of Tess’s death and Paddy privately visits the spot where the fatal accident occurred. Rhona, oblivious to the anniversary, is gutted to have received her decree absolute papers and is worried about Pierce’s whereabouts. Later, in the Woolpack Rhona and Paddy drunkenly reminisce, and find themselves saying goodnight with a kiss…

Finn uses an airport taxi run as an opportunity to stake out Kasim’s house. Kasim is furious when he catches him, and makes it clear they’re not getting back together. Later, Finn returns to the house and, after breaking in, trashes Kasim’s bedroom. Just as he is fleeing his handiwork, his brother’s arrive on the scene. Will Finn admit what he’s done?

Elsewhere, Bernice steps in when a struggling Laurel is tempted by a glass of prosecco; Megan is forced to use the Woolpack as a client venue.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Nana McQueen returns to the village with Bart for Celine’s funeral. Cleo is horrified when she catches Bart with heroin and kicks him out of the house.

Mac has bought Marnie’s silence about the hit and run, but Nathan is struggling to keep his dad’s infidelity a secret, despite not knowing any of the details. Later, Lisa overhears a conversation about Marnie’s alleged brain tumour and tells Mac. However, Mac finds out that Marnie is lying. Later, Nathan surprises Lisa by proposing, but unaware of Lisa and Mac’s affair, could heartbreak be on the way?

Elsewhere, Myra confides in Sally her worries about being a single parent again, prompting Sally to offer up her services in co-parenting her baby; Holly isn’t happy when she overhears Nick being disrespectful about her to Zack.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Sid is pleased to see Bethany making a real effort after his stern pep talk with her last week. She’s like a different person! It isn’t long before Al discovers there’s another reason for this – she’s developed a huge crush on him. But, Sid refuses to believe this insisting she’s just keen on gaining work experience. As the day goes on, Sid realises Al is right. But what can he do about it without hurting Bethany’s feelings?

Elsewhere, Lena and Emma meet for an awkward lunch. After some small talk, Emma brings up the subject of what happened between them at the spa on Friday. Both agree that their friendship is still important to them but will they be able to continue with it in light of what happened?

Rob investigates when an elderly widow is accused of shoplifting but discovers she is hiding an age-old secret.
