Pick of the Plots: Monday February 6th

SoapWorld takes a look at the goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Monday.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Kevin has a lot on his mind but is boosted when Sophie arrives home from Miami with Rosie in tow. However, trouble brews in the form of visiting police officers with a warrant to search the house. Kevin opens up to Sophie about his recent financial problems, leaving her feeling guilty. Rosie shows the contents of her toilet bag to Sophie and explains she’s brought some treats for her boyfriend’s mate in Manchester – but what exactly are the ‘treats’.

Leanne is stunned when she finds out that Nick had wanted them to get engaged. Leanne bursts into the bistro kitchen and asks Nick to follow through on his proposal plans. Meanwhile, Peter tells Ken and Adam about his relationship with Toyah. Peter suggests Toyah move in with him. Later Peter is taken by surprise when Chloe gets in his cab again needing to talk.

Elsewhere, Sinead continues to forge a connection with Daniel; Seb steals a power tool to Faye’s knowledge, but Phelan is on their case; the girls celebrate Kate’s last day at the factory and Shona goes out of her way to retrieve a discarded bunny for Lily Platt. 

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

It’s Emerald’s last day in the square and Vincent invites Denise over to say goodbye. Later, despite their recent warring, Denise steps in to defend Kim when Emerald runs down her parenting skills.

Shakil finds himself in trouble at school much to Carmel’s disappointment. Later, Carmel doesn’t get very far when she attempts to talk to Shakil who, instead, seeks out Bex and confronts her. 

Elsewhere, the pressure mounts for Mick when he learns he’s not insured to have the roof fixed.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

With Home Farm unoccupied, Frank and Charity prepare to execute a scam. Posing as a couple, they meet with a jeweller to purchase some diamonds, but the situation goes awry when Charity’s impulsive nature takes over. Later, Frank and Charity kiss in the heat of the moment but Frank is displeased with her. Meanwhile, Chrissie is left wondering what’s going on.

Zak reassures Cain when he worries about social services visiting and ponders whether they are Kyle’s only and best option. Later, an unknown face approaches the Dingle’s and ends up accidentally locked in the barn. Who is this mysterious figure?

Elsewhere, Tracey is disappointed when Pearl is the sole attendee of her book club; Chrissie’s hurt by Lachlan’s rejection; and Doug decides to drop finding out who the honesty box fiend is.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Darren is worried that Nancy is burying her head in the sand about her diagnosis while pursuing promotion. It’s battle stations when Courtney decides to go for the same promotion but Darren urges Nancy to slow down.

Liam plots to land Grace in trouble over the money laundering but when the police make their move, it doesn’t yield the desired results. Grace is left wondering who’s out to get her, initially assuming Shane to be the culprit. However, it soon dawns on her that it could be Liam, and her suspicions are confirmed when she later hears Liam talking to Thorpe.

Elsewhere, Kim continues to make Esther think badly of Grace, dismissing Tom’s more truthful account of events re the shooting. Esther isn’t convinced but the raid on the loft vindicates Kim, for now. Maxine gets information from the PI looking into Darcy’s disappearance.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

It is the library launch, and Mrs Tembe is determined to make it work. Meanwhile, Jimmi has some news for the partners. Ruhma helps a cool mum who fears that her laid-back parenting style has been a dreadful mistake.
