Pick of the Plots: Thursday January 26th

SoapWorld takes a look at the goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Thursday.

Tensions run high as Albert Square residents continue to deal with the fallout of the bus crash. Elsewhere, Max has spent the last few weeks building bridges with his family and doing his best to settle back into normal life, however is all as it seems?

EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.

Debbie explains the situation of why she needed money urgently. Meanwhile, Cain tells Ross to stay away from Debbie – incentivising the order with money and the threat of violence.

Doug and Diane are struggling to cope with Ashley but Doug puts on a front for Laurel’s sake. However, Laurel soon cottons on to the truth. Later, Laurel makes a heartbreaking decision.

Elsewhere, Pierce is aggravated when Rhona pulls away from his advances. Later, Pierce is further wound-up when Rhona admits to fantasising about Cain during a jovial game of truth or dare. Once home, Pierce makes Rhona feels guilty and after a misguided approach Rhona’s left unsettled and he feels hurt.

Also, the police call at Home Farm regarding the theft;  Lisa suggests she and Zak go public with their relationship.

Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Lisa offers to look after Peri while Leela goes to the hospital and asks the teen to visit her dad in prison. Cameron tries to make Peri remember all of the good times they had together, but roars in despair when Peri tells him that he’s dead to her and leaves him to rot in prison. Meanwhile, Mac comforts Lisa hoping their nightmare is over.

Nathan finds a frozen Cleo sat in the village. He takes her home but the family are worried that she’s still in denial. Mercedes asks for Ryan’s help and he shows Cleo the evidence they’ve found to identify Celine’s body. Reality finally hits her and she crumbles. Feeling alone, Cleo reaches out to Pete.

Elsewhere, Harry spots Goldie trying to sell the engagement ring Prince and Hunter stole from him on NYE and threatens her with the police. Later, Harry suspects Ryan and Goldie of having an affair. To prove her innocence, Goldie gives the sex tape (Ryan and Mercedes’ night together) to Harry who celebrates with Ste that they can finally beat Ryan.

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Ruhma grows concerned for the wellbeing of a pregnant woman with learning difficulties. Ayesha has some worrying news about Bren and is called urgently to St Phil’s.
