Pick of the Plots: Wednesday January 18th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Wednesday.

As the fire investigator sifts through the fire-damaged remains of the garage, he comes across a set of keys. Steph tells Andy she’s arranged for them to stay with Katy in Portugal piquing Luke’s suspicions. Meanwhile when Kevin informs Tyrone of his intentions to sell the garage post insurance pay out, Tyrone also becomes suspicious, especially when the fire investigator confirms that the blaze is now in the hands of the police. Will Kevin be arrested on suspicion of arson?

Michelle tells Liz that she’s disgusted with Steve for acting as though nothing has happened, before heading off to visit Ruairi in the Chapel of Rest. Steve breaks down and confesses to Peter that Leanne is pregnant with his baby and he blames himself for Michelle’s ordeal as it’s payback for his terrible behaviour.

Elsewhere, Eileen reveals to Liz that she’s marrying Pat tomorrow; Sarah breaks the news to Bethany that she and Gary are back together.

Kasim’s unimpressed when he realises Finn’s been paying Nathan to go out with him. When Kasim drives off before he can explain, Finn gets in his taxi and follows him. Elsewhere, Aaron’s sick of Chas going on about his wedding and is given food for thought when Charity suggests they get hitched in Vegas.

Nicola starts work at the factory and lies to Lisa and Kerry she desperately needed a job, the factory workers however are soon shocked by what she says.

Also tonight, Laurel worries about what sort of care home they can afford; and Marlon sets Paddy and Chas up.

Emmerdale, Wednesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.

Grace frantically packs bags for her and Curtis but is caught by Adam. Meanwhile, at the police station, Liam tells DS Thorpe and DS Armstrong it was Grace and swears revenge on his sister. Jack hears the news about Eva from Simone, while Kim and Frankie are shocked by Esther’s reaction to the murder.

Grace goes to the hospital to say goodbye to Esther, but DS Thorpe catches her. She asks Adam for an alibi but Liam also asks him to help convict Grace. Liam is confused when Grace is released and Adam tells Liam that Grace was with him.

Elsewhere, Ellie falls for Marnie’s lies again after querying her illness, she gets drunk and lashes out at Freddie, blaming him for everything that’s happened; Leela tries to contact Cameron and Tegan realises that Leela knows who Daniel’s father is. Meanwhile, Cameron returns.

Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Doctors is off air for its annual winter break.
