Over the weekend we’ve been asking you to vote on whether or not ITV should bring back GMTV. Replacement show Daybreak has failed to take off and has divided opinion amongst viewers – but should it be ditched in favour of GMTV? Well the poll, even though its openly been for a few days, has been a hit with nearly 7000 votes making it the second most voted in poll.
Now for the results. Well it seems clear to us that there are plenty of GMTV fans out there still because 47.3 of you voted Yes – you want to see GMTV back. Now if we add onto that the figure for the They Should Never Have Axed GMTV option, which is a further 10.6 %, we get a combined figure of 58% – the majority of those who voted. A clear sign then that Daybreak isn’t all that popular amongst our readers.
With 41% of the vote is the Give Daybreak a Chance option but it should be noted it wasn’t until Sunday that Daybreak fans came fighting back. The final day of voting seeing this option rise to second place but still not enough for Daybreak fans to show there love for the show. And the ‘No’ option had 0.9% while Maybe had 0.1%.
Thank you to everyone who voted in the poll over the weekend. Our new poll is for which programme you’d like to see move to Channel Five. Voting for that will remain open until next Monday. You can discuss the results and Daybreak further on our brand new forums here >>
