This Weekend’s Poll: Should ITV Bring Back GMTV?

ATV Today polls ITV viewers on the future of Daybreak.

To say that the launch of Daybreak on ITV1 has lead to plenty of discussion is something of an understatement. The ITV breakfast slot has probably been talked about more in the past week or so than since the premium phone-in scandals rocked television a few years ago. It was those scandals that so badly tarnished the reputation of GMTV and did lasting damage. In fact it could be very well those scandals that caused GMTV’s decline and downfall.

However, despite the failing popularity of GMTV in its dying days it still had a loyal following and its that core of fans who are not impressed by Daybreak. ATV Today, Facebook and other internet sites are full of comments by disgruntled fans. So this weekend we’re asking you – should ITV bring back GMTV?
