UK unemployment falls, but fears of rise in future

 

The UK unemployment rate has fallen, but fears have emerged that it will rise later in the year.

 

 

It fell by 20,000 to 2.45 million, the number of people unemployed but those out of work and claiming unemployment benefit rose to 1.47 million, an increase of 5,300.

 

With the government cut backs due to be announced, it is feared that the the number of those unemployed will rise considerably by the end of the year. Those in employment rose 0.2% to 70.7%, which means 29.16 million people are in employment.
