09:10: It was announced yesterday that broadcasting unions have put forward dates of when their members plan to go on strike over the BBC pension row. The intended dates of 5th and 6th October and 19th and 20th October will coincide with the Conservative Party Conference and the Governments Comprehensive Spending Review respectively. It is hoped that the proposed dates will be cancelled, as calling this is to put pressure on the BBC to come up with a suitable plan for all.

08:52: On Sky News Sunrise a 12 yr old school girl has signed a record deal which is claimed to the youngest ever solo classical artist. Her mentor Aled Jones is also in the interview. We see a clip of her singing classically, excuse me ignorance but i swear that was the Mr. Bean theme! I’m sure for non-classical fans of an age will always think Mr.Bean. Just as i wrote those very words Aled Jones mentions Mr.Bean…see i was not the only one!

08:44: As you may be aware Neighbours TV ratings in Australia have been in decline for the past few years, but over recent weeks Home and Away has struggled to reach 1 million viewers. While Home and Away may be experiencing a dip, it’s not the scale of Neighbours. Monday’s ratings from Australia –

6.30pm Neighbours 660,000

7.00pm Home and Away 990,000

08:39: 9PM Prime Time – Tonight’s TV

BBC One: The Young Ones

Put some famous oldies in a house of 1975 and try and live like they did. I think it’s under the premise of a social experiment.

BBC Two: First Light

Docudrama based on the memoirs of Geoffrey Wellum, a spitfire pilot from the Battle of Britain.

ITV1: 71 Degrees North

Kate Thornton and Gethin Jones have the latest instalment of the polar ice show.

Channel 4: Ramsay’s Best Restaurants

Beginning in Bristol and London, Chef Ramsay is in search of the best independent restaurant.
