Former South Africa Rugby Star Shot Dead

Former South Africa International rugby player Solly Tyibilika has apparently been shot dead, according to reports.

News surfaced on twitter from Kuanda Ntunja a Sports Commentator on the South African pay channel SuperSport.

Kuanda Ntunja said on Twitter: “I have been told that he was shot and murdered in cape town. R.I.P. Solly Tyibilika”

More and more facts and tweets over the past few hours this afternoon seem to confirm from the police that the reports are true.

Tyibilika, 32 years old, played eight Test matches for the Springboks between 2004 and 2006. He also played provincial rugby for the likes of the Sharks and Golden Lions. He was in the Southern Kings squad that played the British and Irish Lions in 2009.
