Weekly Poll Result: What do you think of Torchwood: Miracle Day
{jcomments on}For the past two weeks we’ve been asking the readers of ATV Today what they think of Torchwood: Miracle Day. Well the poll is now closed and we can reveal the results – die hard Torchwood fans might want to look away now.
The fourth series of Torchwood has certainly divided fan opinion and it didn’t get off to a brilliant start thanks to the BBC’s decision to broadcast episodes six days after Starz. That decision certainly caused a backlash against some fans – with even actress Eve Myles commenting on it – and perhaps gave the impression the American market mattered more. If the results of our poll are anything to go by the American nature of the series has clearly alienate some of you.
Yes it seems as though 43.% of you feel the show is too American. However, 27.8% of you actually think Torchwood: Miracle Day is excellent – hooray for Captain Jack and his new friends. Unfortunately not far 
behind that are 22.3% of voters who thought the fourth series was simply awful where 5.3% of you thought what you’d seen so far was okay and 0.9% thought it was all rather patch so far but there was hope.
Well there you have it; the readers of ATV Today feel Torchwood: Miracle Day has fallen into the trap of becoming too American despite assurances from John Barrowman and Russell T. Davies that it wouldn’t. As for our own opinion well we still like Torchwood even if the fourth series has been frustrating slow on the old plot development. We’d like to thank everyone who voted and a new poll will open later this evening.
