Since the BBC announced it was not renewing Sunday evening drama Lark Rise to Candleford there’s been a barrage of criticism aimed at the corporation and new BBC One controller Danny Cohen. But despite the protest of fans was the decision the right one?

The BBC and new BBC One controller Danny Cohen has been heavily criticised and ATV Today has been swamped with comments about its demise.
