Star Wars – Episode III – Revenge of the Sith returns to the big screen

Nationwide cinema chain to screen Star Wars film to celebrate it’s 20th anniversary…

Showcase Cinemas has today confirmed that Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith is returning to the big screen to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Two decades after first hitting the big screen in 2005, Star Wars fans can turn to the dark side all over again from 25th – 30th April at Showcase Cinemas nationwide.

The last film in a prequel trilogy to the iconic original films, Revenge of the Sith takes place three years into the Clone Wars, as the Jedi rescue Supreme Chancellor Palpatine from Count Dooku. Meanwhile, Anakin Skywalker is lured into a sinister plan to rule the galaxy.

Jon Dixon, UK Marketing Director at Showcase Cinemas:

“We are thrilled to bring Revenge of the Sith back to the big screen to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The original release was a landmark for cinema, along with Episodes I and II, helping ignite a whole new generation’s love with the Star Wars franchise.

“It’s a classic that belongs on the big screen, so it’s a great chance for those that haven’t had that opportunity before to become fully immersed in a galaxy far, far away!”
