In 2025, several events celebrate the genius of the great composer Mozart…
Mozart died at the age of 35 and events this year celebrate the lasting works he created in his short life. Earlier this month the film-concert Amadeus Live took place at the Seine Musicale while in April the release of the event album “L’avant-garde”, in which the urban scene takes hold of the composer’s works. This offering is produced to share his cultural heritage with young people and show that Mozart was ahead of his time.
From June 28, with Le Mystère Mozart, the public will be invited to live a new and breathtaking experience: savour the most emblematic works of the greatest composer of all time during an immersive show bringing together 30 artists – musicians, actors and dancers – in the heart of an exceptional setting: the Collège des Bernardins in Paris. This unique musical journey combines music, theatre, dance, period costumes and visual mapping.
This unique musical journey combines music, theatre, dance, period costumes, and visual mapping. In each room, the masterpieces of the composer come to life, from The Magic Flute to The Marriage of Figaro, from The Abduction from the Seraglio to the Requiem, thanks to projections and the presence of musicians, actors, and dancers. The audience is even invited to conduct an orchestra and participate in a Baroque ball with 18th-century wigs.
In blending music and innovations, Le Mystère Mozart celebrates the magnitude of the genius of one of the most influential composers of all time, whose work transcends the centuries.
The event brings together a prestigious artistic team. Imagined by producer Michel Eli and Nathalie Spinozi, playwright and Mozart specialist. Mourad Merzouki, an internationally renowned choreographer, brings his innovative eye to instil a dynamic where contemporary dance meets classical heritage, through a new dance tableau in interaction with the video specially created for this show. He then offers a story and a staging rich in emotions on the prodigy’s most beautiful concertos, shedding light on the mysteries and depth of Mozart’s work.
Organisers say, ‘The Mystère Mozart is designed to appeal to classical music enthusiasts as well as families or friends looking for an original cultural outing. More than an hour of music (17 works in total) and eight scenography scenes, it invites a total rediscovery of Mozart. The scenography and the lighting of the spaces amplify the emotion and pay tribute to the composer’s breadth.’
