Channel 4 acquires crime thriller Long Bright River…

Channel 4 has acquired suspense thriller Long Bright River from Sony Pictures Television. Starring Amanda Seyfried the series is based on Liz Moore’s New York Times bestselling novel, Long Bright River is an eight-part limited drama which tells the story of Mickey (Seyfried), a police officer who patrols a Philadelphia neighbourhood hard-hit by the opioid crisis.

When a series of murders begins in the neighbourhood, Mickey realizes that her personal history might be related to the case.

The series also stars Nicholas Pinnock, Ashleigh Cummings, Callum Vinson and John Doman. UK transmission details will be announced in due course Channel 4 note.
