Karren Brady to enter the Dragon’s Den?

Karren Brady is the 6/4 favourite to be named the next Dragon to replace Sara Davies in the Den, according to one bookmakers…

 The vice-chair of West Ham United and aide to Lord Sugar leads the market ahead of Emma Grede (2/1), who has already featured as a guest Dragon in the 21^st season of the popular BBC One show.

Trinny Woodall, another former guest Dragon, is 4/1 to occupy the vacant hotseat, while lifestyle expert Alison Cork and Labour party life-peer Poppy Gustafsson trail in the market at 10/1 and 20/1 respectively.

Lord Sugar (25/1), J.K. Rowling (28/1) and Rishi Sunak (33/1) are all outsiders to land a seat in The Den.

“We have Karren Brady as the 6/4 favourite to be named the next Dragon in Dragons’ Den, following Sara Davies’ departure from the series last week. The Apprentice advisor leads the market ahead of former guest Dragons Emma Grede (2/1) and Trinny Woodall (4/1). Alison Cork is 10/1 to take the vacant role in the Den, while current Minister of State for Investment, Poppy Gustafsson, is 20/1 to succeed Davies on the show.

“Brady’s associate and The Apprentice host Lord Sugar is 25/1 to return to the Den, after last appearing on the show in 2011 for a Children In Need sketch. Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is priced at longer odds of 28/1, while former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is another outsider at 33/1.”

Sara Davies has announced she will step away from filming TV show Dragons’ Den for the rest of this year to focus on her own business. The series, marking twenty years on air this year, will see Sara absent from the next run of episodes.

As well as her business commitments she has also been hosting other programmes for the BBC and will soon front a new quiz for ITV. In a statement on Instagram, Davies explained her decision, saying: “I’ve taken the decision to step away from the Den for now, to focus on my own business.”
