First Loose Women podcast goes live

In ITV’s 70th year, and Loose Women’s 25th, the show goes streaming with twice weekly chat…

The first ever episode of ITV’s Loose Women: The Podcast is available now to watch on ITVX and YouTube or to listen wherever you get your podcasts. Taking to the podcast mics for the first time, Denise Welch and Ayda Field Willams offer audiences an extended serving of commentary and conversation once the studio cameras stop rolling, as they discuss motherhood, addiction and reveal their secret Hollywood crushes!

In the first of two unmissable episodes this week, Ayda shares her deeply personal story of how she and husband Robbie Williams overcame his addiction issues to have one of the strongest marriages in showbiz: “The friend that was setting us up, he said ‘Listen, the only thing I’ll say is, Rob is kind of off the wagon’.” 

Tackling the taboos around talking about motherhood, Denise talks honestly about her post-natal depression robbing her of her ability to bond with her son: “I looked forward all my life to my mum and dad seeing my first born and I just felt wrong.” 

Later explaining: “I lost, which is what happens with clinical, or major depressive disorder they call it now, no matter what the origins, I lost the ability to love my child.” During the discussion, Ayda also opens up about two of her children being born via surrogacy: “I remember I had a friend that was pregnant at the same time and I felt deep shame that she got to be pregnant and I wasn’t… I felt like it was a failure on my behalf.” 

Adding: “I delivered Coco out of our surrogate, me with my own hands, looking at another woman who’s sharing the most beautiful journey, a true sisterhood, motherhood moment that is so powerful I couldn’t begin to describe it.” 

Every Tuesday on Loose Women: The Podcast, a different dynamic duo from the nation’s favourite Loose Women will get up close and even more personal as they draw on their own experiences to tackle the big issues that matter to us all – from parenthood to love, with a lot of laughs in between.
