New Coronation Street trailer teases drama on the cobbles this March

David Platt and Rob Donovan are at the centre of the action on the cobbles next month.

David’s (Jack P Shepherd) guilt about son Max (Paddy Bever) facing a lengthy jail term for setting fire to the Platt’s home leads to him making the dramatic decision to take his own life, by hiring a hitman to mow him down. The trailer shows the shocking moment on Wednesday, March 5th, when Shona (Julia Goulding) witnesses David being struck by a speeding vehicle and left for dead at the end of the street.

Sadly, it isn’t only David who is a victim of the hit-and-run as pregnant Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) is accidentally caught up in the collision.

Meanwhile, Rob (Marc Baylis), who managed to survive his fall at the warehouse last week, is making his way back to the cobbles later in the month. He will seek out his sister Carla (Alison King) and demand her assistance in helping him make an escape.

With armed police surrounding the house, will Carla and Lisa escape? As a shot rings out, who is the latest victim of Rob’s desperate bid to be a free man?
