Recognising excellence across jazz, soul, and blues, the Jazz FM Awards shine a spotlight on both established artists and emerging talent…
The Jazz FM Awards will return on April 24th 2025 following a brief hiatus and will this year take place at a new venue – KOKO in Camden.
Nick Pitts, Content Director, Jazz FM and Magic Classical:
“Since launching in 2013, the Jazz FM Awards have been a benchmark of excellence in the jazz community, honouring outstanding achievements in performance, innovation, and creativity. With its return to a new, iconic venue and a fresh roster of nominees, the 2025 ceremony will once again mark the genre’s enduring legacy and future.”
Since its inception in 2013, the Jazz FM Awards has honoured a rollcall of music industry legends including Herbie Hancock, The Rolling Stones, Dame Cleo Laine, Gregory Porter, Norah Jones, Quincy Jones and Tony Bennett, along with contemporary stars such as Jacob Collier, Nubya Garcia and Ezra Collective and an array of up-and-coming talent.
Nominations for this year’s Awards will be announced throughout the day on March 6 2025 with further details regarding the host and live performances to be shared closer to the date. Returning categories include the UK Jazz Act of the Year, the Innovation Award and Album of the Year. A new category – The Collaboration Award – will honour the deserving musician, group or organisation who’ve harnessed one of the core essences of the jazz tradition – collaboration – in a truly innovative, impactful, inclusive and inspirational way.
This year’s awards will once again welcome PPL and PRS for Music as headline sponsors, underscoring their commitment to championing the artists and contributors who make an invaluable impact on the music industry. Other partners include Mishcon de Reya, Oanda, and Rathbones.
Nick Pitts, Content Director, Jazz FM and Magic Classical:
“It’s also great to be back with our friends at PPL and PRS for Music, who not only have been involved in the Jazz FM Awards since the first year but return as our headline partner for a third time, alongside our returning and new commercial partners. As always, we thank them for their support in allowing us to celebrate what is a golden age of jazz, soul and blues.”
