It was a blazing start to this week in Weatherfield…
The fire was seen in last night’s episode, Monday February the 3rd, on ITV1 and STV, with everyone gathering at the Bistro for Sarah’s birthday. Bored at the adult party Hope, Ruby, Lily and Sam snuck into number 8 and started to live stream a séance. Spotting the live stream and seeing matches on the video, Toyah raced over to the house and threw the kids out.
Meanwhile Abi was on the warpath having realised Toyah shopped her to social services and seeing her at number 8 headed inside to confront her. Caught up in a PTSD episode, she lashed out at Toyah knocking her unconscious before fleeing the house. Did she come back and start the fire to cover up the attack on Toyah?
Also creeping round the cobbles was a drunken Leanne, feeling lonely and angry at the world. Is she responsible for devastating inferno? Or could David be to blame for the blaze? His feud with gang lord Harvey has ramped up a gear in recent weeks, with Shona already having been kidnapped as a warning. Is Harvey’s gang behind the arson or has David gone to extreme lengths to get the money from the house insurance to repay Harvey the money he stole?
Now as the ash settles on the devastating fire at the Platts and the search for the arsonist begins, ITV have offered fans a chance to take a sneak peek behind the scenes of the filming of the inferno at number 8.
Shot across four nights in November cast and crew donned their thermals and battled the elements to film the dramatic scenes. The Street’s social media team were on hand to capture the action behind the camera and chat to the cast involved.
Coronation Street, ITV1 and STV at 8pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and on ITVX from 7am
