On this Day 1970: Warwick Uni students hold ‘sit in’

OTD, February 4th 1970…

ATV Today reported on the situation that saw students having a sit-in at Warwick University.

Jeffrey Watson interviewed students asking them how they spent the night. He then spoke to the president of the students’ union, Alan Phillips about their demands and his views on graffiti that has been scrawled on the Rootes building.

Watson also talks with Colonel Robert Hornby, the Development Officer about the protest by the students about social facilities.
