From Lion King spin off to valentine’s specials…
February is jam-packed with the latest new film releases and award-nominated movies ahead of this year’s BAFTA and Oscar awards on Rakuten TV, one of Europe’s leading streaming platforms which enables viewers to rent, purchase or to watch films and entertainment content for free without a subscription.
Two of the biggest new animation films are available on Rakuten TV this month – MUFASA: THE LION KING (from 18th February) and MOANA 2 (now live), alongside straight-from-the-cinema titles KRAVEN THE HUNTER, HERETIC, QUEER and NOSFERATU, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Awards season is upon us, and Rakuten TV is offering audiences the chance to delve into a myriad of BAFTA and OSCAR nominated films, which have been recognised in the Best Film, Director, Acting, and craft categories, including WICKED, ANORA, GLADIATOR II, THE SUBSTANCE, SING SING, CONCLAVE, INSIDE OUT 2, DUNE: PART TWO, KENSUKE’S KINGDOM, KNEECAP, SUPERMAN: THE CHRISTOPHER REEVE STORY, BIRD, NOSFERATU, THE GIRL WITH THE NEEDLE, THE APPRENTICE, NO OTHER LAND, THE WILD ROBOT and MONKEY MAN.
In Rakuten TV’s AVOD section, new titles have been added which can be watched for free with adverts, including Love & Other Drugs, The Revenant, Traffic, Siberia and Life or Something Like This.
Free to watch live telly sees this month, the Davis Cup tennis qualifying matches available to view on the Tennis Channel, and crime fans will be able to tune into the Crime Beat TV channel to watch popular crime series including Hunter and 21 Jump Street.
Love is in the air this month, as Rakuten TV launches a collection of romantic movies for Valentine’s Day. The collection features a selection of romcoms and romances on promotion to buy from £3.99, as well as free to watch films on its free RTV Romance 24/7 channel.
In keeping with the romance theme, the Bridget Jones franchise is on offer to celebrate the highly anticipated new film, coming to cinemas soon. And fans of steamy romance get to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Fifty Shades of Grey, as the movies are available to buy and keep from £2.99.
