An ‘immersive screening’ was held in the capital on Friday…
This weekend, Disney+ hosted an exclusive and immersive screening of the newest Disney+ thriller Paradise at London’s Mayfair Hotel. The first three episodes of the series launched exclusively earlier this week on Disney+ in the UK on Tuesday, 28th January.
Paradise is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquillity explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high-stakes investigation unfolds.
The star-studded experience was attended by key cast members including Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson, alongside Emmy-nominated “Paradise” Creator and Executive Producer Dan Fogelman.
Guests were greeted at the screening by “Secret Service” officers, who handed them their own personal wristbands providing access to the venue. They were then escorted through a private corridor featuring a portrait of James Marsden in-character as President Cal Bradford, and handed a glass of prosecco or cocktail upon entry to the cinema.
Dan Fogelman, James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson took to the stage to address the audience ahead of the screening. Dan welcomed and thanked guests: “this show is a big swing and Paradise is so special to me. The UK will always be special to me. Guys like us spend years making shows and it’s amazing to find partners that do everything right.”
Following the screening, attendees were transported to the world of Paradise through an immersive experience. They were invited to explore the home of Sterling K. Brown’s character, Agent Xavier Collins, as well as being treated to their ‘five fruit a day’ from the local produce store.
Just like in the series, this version of “Paradise” was filled with illusion and mystery. Guests looking to connect with local wildlife were surprised to find that the ‘ducks’ floating on a pond were not real. Attendees at the exclusive event were also able to experience an ‘interrogation room’ inspired by the series, where they were asked to ‘read between the lies’ in a staged lie detector test.
The first three episodes of Paradise are available on Disney+ now, with new episodes released weekly.
