GMB brings news to social media…
Good Morning Britain this week launched a new social media strand delivering presenter-led news bulletins on the programme’s TikTok platform. As the breakfast time offering continues to break the latest news and current affairs across the airwaves daily from 6am on ITV1, STV, STV Player and ITVX, the show has also seen impressive growth across its social media platforms ITV notes.

On average, last year, GMB content reached over 1 million accounts a day across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok so we look forward to continuing to reach our viewers via new channels.”

Last year the GMB TikTok account achieved 95 million views on news content shared on the platform. It also appeared in the top search on TikTok for Jack Fowler discussing his nut allergy with Susanna Reid and Ed Balls with the clip gaining 5 million views. Additionally across other platforms, Dave Fishwick’s interview with the loan shark garnered 16 million views on YouTube Shorts.
In a bid to ensure Good Morning Britain continues to inform its viewers across a multitude of media platforms, whilst being at the forefront of the ever-evolving broadcast landscape, the digital initiative will deliver daily short form content on TikTok covering the latest news across politics, money, health, entertainment, current affairs and more.
