HBO’s Hacks heads to Sky

Sky has acquired stateside comedy series Hacks for a UK transmission…

Following the show’s success at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards® Sky has obtained the rights to Hacks series three and series four.

Brand-new to UK screens, the third run of the HBO Max American comedy will exclusively launch on Sky and streaming service NOW early next month. Hacks explores a dark mentorship that forms between Deborah Vance (Jean Smart), a legendary Las Vegas comedian, and an entitled, outcast 25-year-old (Hannah Einbinder).

Deborah needs to reinvent her aging act to avoid losing her residency at the Palmetto Casino. Ava Daniels is a young comedy writer who is unable to find work due to an insensitive social media post and her reputation for being self-centred and arrogant.

When Ava’s agent sends her to work as Deborah’s new head writer, the two slowly bond as Ava pushes her new boss to take more risks and Deborah, in turn, helps Ava start to work through her personal problems.

The first and second series will also be available alongside the third instalment, allowing fans ample opportunity to catch-up ahead of the highly anticipated, brand-new and exclusive fourth season later this year.

The programme was created by Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky. Hacks series three will land on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK on the 7th of February, alongside series One and two.

Hacks fourth offering will launch exclusively on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK later this year.
