Pick of the Plots: Tuesday 14th January

At the police station, Lauren is quizzed about the night of the night of the attack based on Cindy’s recollections. Peter soon makes the connection between his mum talking to the police and Lauren’s arrest and insists that Cindy take back her statement.

Later, Peter is shocked when Lauren confides in him about what happened on Christmas Day.

Meanwhile, Ravi takes control of keeping Nugget quiet, as Denise heads home in a panic that she’s about to lose her family over their secret affair. Jack thinks she’s upset because of Phil’s antics and offers support, kicking off a new row between Denise and Phil.

Later, Ravi spots Denise and Jack having a warm moment and jealousy takes hold as he tells her that he won’t be anybody’s dirty little secret for long.

Elsewhere, Yolande provides Nigel with a shoulder to cry on and advises him to tell Phil what’s really going on with his health.

In Leeds, Marlon continues to search the streets. Seeing a young girl who looks like April in the distance, he races to intercept her.

Desperately chasing the young girl he has identified as April, Marlon catches her in a confrontation with an unknown man. When he physically intervenes in the fracas, he’s shocked to be faced with Ross.

Meanwhile, Charity is delighted.

Elsewhere, Ruby returns home clutching the DNA test results, but Caleb returns so she stuffs it in her handbag.

Also, when the reaction to the Hotten Courier’s article on Rhona blows up, Wendy gets caught in a blackmailing situation by the journalist.
