SoapWeekly: Paul and Terese are in a bubble of love in Neighbours
Soap highlights for the coming week from Neighbours and Home and Away…
In near meltdown after receiving a gift supposedly from Heath, Holly is comforted by Yaz, who pounces on her vulnerable state. Maintaining a caring façade as she attempts to coax some sort of confession out of Holly, Yaz listens intently as Holly recounts her traumatic relationship with Heath, and his final demise. Yaz works hard to keep her internal fury in check, while Holly is none the wiser to Yaz’s scheme, sharing with Sadie and Byron how glad she is to have her boss’s back. Yaz, meanwhile, is also still stinging from Nicolette’s rebuke, hopeful she can make it up to her…
In the aftermath of the attempted hit and run, Byron and Sadie are grateful for Max’s quick-thinking in pushing Sadie out of harm’s way and invite him to return to the Share House; an offer he happily accepts. Privately though, Max worries he may have been the target. While still in hospital for observation, he sneaks out to see the injured driver – but doesn’t recognize him. What does this mean?
When Aaron runs into Rhett at The Waterhole. Rhett asks Aaron to a movie, prompting Aaron to clam up and rush back to work. Later, Jane shares heartfelt advice, pushing Aaron to reconsider the merit of some company. Encouraged, Aaron asks Rhett out, and Rhett accepts.
Finally public, Paul and Terese are in a bubble of love, inadvertently embarrassing everyone with their handsy shenanigans. Terese declares that this time, she wants their relationship to be about want, rather than need. Paul is understanding and smitten, declaring his love too. The couple are back, and on firmer ground than ever.

Sebastian
Reeling from the car attack, a paranoid Max begins his own investigation into whether he was the target with the car at the garage waiting to be picked up by the police, Max searches through it for evidence, but he can’t find anything. He’s duly relieved when Andrew later confirms that the attack was intended for Sebastian. However, Andrew starts to become suspicious of Max when he learns that someone searched through the car following the attack.
Striving to support Krista in her desire to care for Sebastian following the car incident, Leo nevertheless expresses his concerns to Paul that the two will fall into their old habit of unhealthy dependency.
Sadie and the housemates feel awful when Vera cheerfully announces that she’s interviewing for a bungalow out the back of a share house, well aware that, despite Vera’s enthusiasm for finding housemates her own age, their harsh words on Christmas eve are responsible for her deciding to leave. Nicolette tells a disappointed Yaz she doesn’t think they should try to resurrect anything romantically, given Yaz will be heading back to the states at some point in the future.
Aaron later relays how caring Yaz was towards Holly following an issue at the hotel and encourages Nicolette to give her another chance. Nicolette tells Yaz she can’t deny their connection, and in spite of an uncertain future, decides to give things another go.
As the residents of Eirini Rising choose their photos for the Lost Loves Light Show, Paul supports Terese as she struggles to select a picture of Josh. The couple is prompted to reflect on the fact that they almost lost each other and have a precious chance to try again.
Amazon Prime, Monday to Thursday from 7.30am

Perri
Theo and Remi are enjoying a cold brew and a guitar jam when they are interrupted by a fired-up Bree. She’s home early from work, and Remi is concerned but cautious. Theo escapes as she unleashes to Remi that Levi has it out for her. He wants her to lose her job, questioning her hesitation in the moment during the incident with Alf, but she had questions piling up on her and Levi aggressively gave her a serve without reason. Calmed after her storm, Bree and Remi return to the hospital to check on Alf’s recovery. He’s in good spirits but Marilyn is icy toward Bree – Mr. Stewart could have died because of Bree’s actions. This angers Bree more, but clues Remi onto the fact that Bree’s recount of events may not have been as transparent as she’s letting on.
Perri’s in shock following his lethal confrontation with his father in the pool. He goes through the events with Tane, explaining that while he was struggling to breath, his father must have hit his head and the next thing he could see, he was lying there in the water. Tane convinces Perri to get into some dry clothes, then jumps on the phone to the police. Still unravelling, Perri takes the opportunity to run. When Rose and the police arrive, Tane is as clueless as they are when they realise Perri has taken off. Suddenly, it looks like Tane’s the one hiding Perri, and Rose has to turn the heat to Tane.
Leah is all setup for her romantic anniversary evening. She’s dressed to the nines and the candles are lit. But she grows quickly frustrated with her no-show husband, thoughts creeping in of him away with Claudia, being unfaithful. Cash and Michelle arrive back after their trip to introduce her to Gary. He welcomes her to stay longer, and she’s persuaded to give it a few more nights. However, privately with Eden, Michelle reveals that she’s ready to go home and get on with her life – which comes as a surprise to Cash. Eden attempts to bring this to his attention, he’s not reading the room, but Cash interprets this as Eden interfering with his life, forcedly telling her she needs to let go.
Remi’s guitar playing grinds on Bree, whose emotional unrest is escalating. She is entirely focused on Levi’s complaint to the hospital board against her. She remains on edge, and when she still hasn’t heard from anyone later, she dismisses Remi’s gentle encouragement, admitting that she has been lying about seeing her counsellor.
Justin’s confrontation with Leah over her not trusting him leads them in circles again, and she leaves for some air. Alf and Marilyn find Leah, and she admits she misjudged Justin’s actions surrounding Claudia. Leah returns home with a clearer head and a thorough apology – but it isn’t enough for Justin. He feels her mistrust is too much and neither of them can trust each other, so he feels it’s best to spend a few days apart.

Theo
Alf approaches Levi and asks him to explain how his incident at the hospital unfolded, and how Bree’s actions might have impacted it. He’s honest. Things deteriorated quickly, and it’s a miracle Alf is still here. Conflicted by his brush with death, Alf has packed the car and is clearly headed off for a while. He returns to Mackenzie, who reassures him he has done the right thing with Bree, but he worries about the evidence he will soon need to give against her.
Bree shows up at Levi’s doorstep asking to talk, and she appeals, swearing it won’t happen again. Levi asks her to admit what she did wrong, but she’s not holding herself accountable. He’s determined that none of this is personal, but it is necessary when people’s lives are at risk. Bree then appeals to Dana, much to her surprise. And although Dana wasn’t there when things went down, she sees Bree’s appeal as a request to lie, and makes it clear, she won’t be doing that. Bree’s spiralling, running out of options to save her career, and Remi’s offer of help is declined when Bree tells him to give her space.
It’s a morning routine now that Rose and the police swing by and search Tane’s house, much to his frustration at their waste of time. They once again don’t find anything and Rose departs, reassured once again that she’ll be Tane’s first call if he hears from Perri.
Theo is still harbouring Perri at the garage and isn’t sure how long they can keep things up. He’s realistic – the heat might not die down for days, or weeks. When Rose questions Theo at the Diner, he stands by his story but is triggered that things cannot keep going like this. He goes to Tane direct and brings him to Perri. Perri is distressed, but Tane encourages Perri to make the choice himself. They met because Perri wanted to start making better decisions, and now he decides what kind of man he wants to be.
Harper goes to convince Rose to turn her search elsewhere, away from Tane, and Rose agrees she may be correct – the autopsy report indicates that Perri may not have been acting in self-defence and may have had plenty of opportunities to save his dad’s life… and chose not to. When she brings this information to Tane at the same time, Perri arrives having made his choice. He is prepared to turn himself in. Rose places him under arrest, for the murder of his father.
