Pick of the Plots: Wednesday 18th December

Lauren is struggling with her withdrawal symptoms but refuses Cindy’s offer of more pills. When her symptoms worsen, oblivious Peter rushes Lauren to the hospital as she fears she’s hurt the baby. Fortunately, a scan reveals that the baby is ok.

Cindy is horrified to realise Lauren is using while pregnant and is quick to issue her with an ultimatum – tell Peter the truth, or she will.

Meanwhile, Ruby and Martin get the devastating news that the donor liver for Roman’s transplant isn’t viable. However, the doctors confirm Martin is a match and could be Roman’s best hope. To Ruby’s shock and relief, Martin immediately agrees.

Lily gets upset when she realises Martin will undergo surgery to save his son, fearing what will happen to his other kids if something goes wrong.  Later, during a heart-to-heart with Stacey, Martin admits his fears and, after an emotional moment, tries to kiss her.

Elsewhere, Kim faces some obstacles as she works towards the Christmas Eve carol concert.

Matty and Logan confront a shaken David over the stolen money.

When Matty and Logan call at the salon and tell Audrey that they’re mates of David’s, how far will they go?

Jesse asks David to pick up the wedding rings from the jewellers, but he returns home with a black eye and a split lip. What has happened to David?

Meanwhile, an argument breaks out between Dee-Dee and Anthea in the café. After finding out from Max that Lauren is struggling with her mental health, Dee-Dee visits her and promises to help find a donor for Frankie. Will Dee-Dee come clean to Lauren about her pregnancy?

Elsewhere, in the Bistro, Lisa watches jealously as one of Carla’s clients flirts with her.

Also, Leanne sees Nick and Sam off on their holiday before making a payment of £789 from Toyah’s fake account.

Chesney pursues the man in the van to Frescho’s car park and after slipping up behind him, he pulls out a bag of sugar. What is he going to do?

Aware that they need to find Belle, the Dingles spring into action. They are shocked when the prosecution barrister admits that, without Belle, they may struggle to secure a conviction.
