80’s pop-star Matt Goss joined Ranvir earlier this week on ITV as he prepares to leave his 10-year Vegas residency to embark on a UK tour. Discussing the highs and lows of his Bros. pop success, the singer revealed details on his complicated relationship with his brother, Luke.
Discussing the reaction received from the Bros documentary, ‘Bros: After the Screaming Stops’, Matt revealed:
“It was difficult to watch it, because it was so dysfunctional in many ways. But what happened afterwards, I realised that people would come up to me, and fellas would come up to me and say, ‘We are dysfunctional as well.’
“There is a lot of dysfunction in family. In many ways we find comfort from friends because family have that ability to go a little bit too far sometimes and they know the buttons to press… I feel like now I have a whole philosophy within myself that if I do my best, and I know that I can look at myself and say I’ve tried my best… if that doesn’t work, then that’s okay. I have to live my own life as well.”
Matt also revealed he’s not currently speaking to Bros. co-singer brother Luke. ‘We’re not talking, and it is what it is and if he doesn’t like it, that’s the way it is.’ he said, adding, ‘I’ve tried but I have to come in and I’m excited about my own life and I’m excited about what I have done in my life.’
However he hoped in the future there could be a reunion, ‘I would love to make more music with my brother. I would love to go on that journey properly with him and also tour again. He’s the love of my life and I would love to get on stage with him, but I’ve done my best.’

A little bit more for Gail’s farewell
Helen Worth leaves Coronation Street as Gail this Christmas, and it seems it came down to on-screen son Jack P Shepherd who plays David to make sure the ITV bosses gave the character, and actress, the best final scene possible.
Jack has worked with Helen for twenty-four of her fifty years on the show and speaking to the Radio Times he revealed he urged for a ‘better send off’ in her final scene.
Shepherd explained: “We had a little to do on her last scene and her last scene filming was a scene with me and Julia [Goulding]. It was in the Platts but it was me and Julia and that was her last scene. And I went, ‘No, no, her last scene has to be just all of us, with all the Platts.’
He told the execs at the studios in Salford Quays, “Just write one, you can!”, adding, “So they did, they wrote one, and I went, ‘We don’t have to be doing anything, we can be all not speaking, just make sure we’re all together in the Platts, for God’s sakes, please, for when she finally goes. Don’t just have someone random with her or whatever.'”
The original scene with just David and Shona was rewritten to feature all the key Platt members ‘luckily, they were able to do it and schedule it.’ Jack noted. “I said let’s just f***ing do it, she’ll cry, she’ll be emotional but that’s the thing, you’re meant to be!”
Gail will be seen for the last time on Christmas Day.
Two Tier Keir is a Pop Chart hit
It’s currently number one in the paid for ‘Official Singles Downloads Chart’ in the UK, which is probably the first time in months the self-serving Labour leader has been popular.
The Song, Freezing This Christmas, which you can see the video for below, is by Sir Starmer and the Granny Harmers aka Chris Middleton (composer) and Dean Agar (vocals). It’s a parody of the 1970s Elvis Presley styled Lonely This Christmas by Mud.
The creator of the streaming chart topper and viral video Christmas parody song this week spoke to GB News about how he was inspired by the country’s anger over Labour’s cuts to Winter Fuel Payments.
Chris Middleton spoke to the news and views channel about his track, which first gained popularity on social media, before download buyers joined in, arose from his discontent with the decision made by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Chancellor Rachel Reeves to cut the pensioner winter fuel allowance this winter.
“We all have grandparents, we all have elderly people that we know, people that struggle… There are people that have contributed to the system all of their lives, and now in their time of most need, the government has decided to essentially betray them,” – Chris Middleton speaking to GB News
The song has evolved into a symbol of public protest against Government policies, Chris said, “The people are angry, and they want to see it go to number one I think as a way to send a message to the Government,”
Departure Board
And finally, we said goodbye this week to Duncan Norvelle. The funny man who is remembered fondly for his ‘chase me’ catchphrase. We also bade farewell to actress Julie Stevens.
