ITV to celebrate 15 years of The Chase

The daytime quiz has pulled in viewers to ITV1 and STV for a decade and a half.

“The hit ITV quiz show The Chase, which captivates millions, will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a special episode airing at 5pm on Monday 2nd September 2024.”ITV

As one of ITV’s most successful and longest-running British quiz shows of all time, viewers are drawn to the unique blend of suspense, intellect, and charm that The Chase brings to the screen. The show gives us unforgettable moments, jaw-dropping victories, and the occasional hilarious blunder. To date, more than 2,200 daytime shows have aired, and some 235,000 questions have been asked to close to 9,000 contestants.

Potato’s quiz show recently added Best Game Show Award at TRIC Awards 2024 to its impressive trophy cabinet beating The Traitors, 1% Club and Dragon’s Den. The Chase host Bradley Walsh picked up the TRIC Award for TV Personality for the second year running. These accolades come alongside other awards the show has won over the years including BAFTAs, National Television Awards and Broadcast Awards.

ITV Studios recently announced that The Chase would expand its European footprint with new local versions licensed in Slovenia for POP TV and Romania for Pro TV, meaning it has now been commissioned in 21 territories worldwide.

The Chase stars Bradley Walsh as host and the Chasers; Paul Sinha – The Sinnerman, Mark Labbett – The Beast, Anne Hegerty – The Governess, Darragh Ennis – The Menace, Jenny Ryan – The Vixen and Shaun Wallace – The Dark Destroyer.

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning ITV:

“The Chase is still the most watched programme in daytime reaching over 9.2 million viewers every week and having been streamed more than 23 million times in Q1 of this year alone. So, we’re very excited and proud to be celebrating 15 impressive years of the show later this year on ITV1 and ITVX.”

The Chase’s 15th anniversary special will air at 5pm on Monday 2nd September
