The series will star Suzanne Mulholland and Joe Swash…
Food author Suzanne Mulholland also known as The Batch Lady, joins forces with presenter and cookbook writer Joe Swash in the brand-new six-part series for Channel 4 in partnership with Lidl.
Channel 4’s Senior Commissioning Editor for Lifestyle, Clemency Green:
‘I am so excited to see Suzanne and Joe show us how to cook nutritious meals whilst saving money and time. Made in partnership with Lidl this series is exactly what busy families need and I hope it empowers people to cook healthy and delicious homemade food’
Together, Suzanne and Joe will meet a broad mix of families who are each in need of advice to make their food budgets go further, their menus more organised and their meals better. The plan is simple: to cut their meal prep time down to as little as just one hour a week by concurrently batch cooking, freezing, and storing multiple meals.
Together with Joe, Suzanne will create a customised menu to reflect each family’s favourite foods and match their time-saving goals. With over half a million online followers and a series of Sunday Times bestsellers, former time management trainer Suzanne Mulholland has made The Batch Lady the go-to authority for families looking to take the strain out of preparing dinner each week.

Suzanne Mulholland:
“It’s a dream come true to be fronting a cookery TV series on Channel 4. When I started The Batch Lady, I never imagined that it would inspire such a following let alone lead to my face on bestselling books and primetime TV. I’m really excited to work with Joe to change the lives of families around the UK one batch at a time.”
Presenter Joe Swash is a busy parent himself and his hit 2022 recipe book Joe’s Kitchen inspired readers with the know-how to make family-friendly, budget meals.
The six-part series is a South Shore Productions format which will air in hour-long slots on Channel 4.
Joe Swash:
“The last few years have seen every one of us juggling so many stresses, not least the rising cost of our food. Suzanne and I are hoping to give households the tools to not just save the pennies and the pounds, but also have more time to spend on being together as a family.”
