Pick of the Plots: Friday 12th April

During the night, Kerry secretly films Roy’s living room with a commentary making him out to be a murderer.

A shaken Roy tells Shona and Nina that he’s just had a call from Lauren’s mum asking him not to contact her again. With all eyes on Alice, she admits she isn’t Kerry. Outside, when Roy tries to stop Alice from filming him, she trips and bangs her head. Accusing him of assault, Alice heads off to the police station.

Later, Dee-Dee breaks the news to Carla, Nina, Shona and Evelyn that Roy has been charged with Lauren’s murder.

Meanwhile, Liam feels ready to return to school but Maria isn’t open to the idea yet. Gary’s hurt when Maria makes a comment alluding to him not being Liam’s real dad.

On the street, Sarah confides in Gary that it’s Damon’s sentencing today and in turn, Gary tells her about Liam’s suicidal thoughts. Having invited her back to the flat, Gary tells Sarah about Maria’s overprotective behaviour and how it’s ruining their relationship as Maria checks her camera app and is intrigued to see Sarah and Gary in the flat.

As Maria turns up the volume and hears their conversation, she’s hurt. Sarah takes a call from Dee-Dee telling her that Damon got six years and as she starts to cry, Gary takes her in his arms.

Elsewhere, Simon tells Leanne and Carla about his idea for a new food delivery app. Simon presents an impressed Leanne with his business plan and Leanne confirms she would like to be his first investor.

Also, Stu is downcast that Eliza wants to make Germany her new home.

Rhona’s fate hangs in the balance.

Meanwhile, Suzy makes another unsuccessful attempt to get payment for the wedding from Kerry.
