This week brand-new Capital Breakfast radio host, Jordan North, announced live on-air that the best way to enjoy a bacon roll is to not only add ketchup and brown sauce, but lashings of mustard too! Following his divisive claim, leading food-on-the-go retailer Greggs delivered Jordan his very own one-of-a-kind bacon roll, including his polarising trilogy of sauces and after overwhelming customer demand, Capital presenter Chris Stark called on Greggs CEO Roisin Currie to launch “The Jordan”.
Now five outlets will amazingly offer the ‘tasty’ idea.
Greggs have teamed up with Capital Breakfast to launch a brand-new breakfast roll dubbed “The Jordan”, which will be available for a limited time only this Friday. “The Jordan” will be made up of Jordan North’s ultimate breakfast ingredients; bacon, ketchup, brown sauce and a dollop of mustard.
Rewinding to earlier this week, Capital Breakfast host Jordan North bravely declared his love for his bizarre breakfast of choice – confessing to fellow co-hosts Sian Welby and Chris Stark that he enjoys mustard on his bacon buttie. Yes that’s right, a bacon roll with mustard – alongside a squeeze of both ketchup and brown sauce. On Tuesday’s show Jordan admitted how the sauce combination “changed his life” since he first tried it 12 years ago, urging listeners “Don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it!”.
The divisive breakfast roll sent fans into a spin on an Instagram poll where 76% of listeners voted “you’ve GOT to be joking” when asked about trying “The Jordan” bacon roll, with only 24% agreeing with his bizarre sauce combination.
On Friday 12th April, from 8am – 11am, each of the below shops will be giving away 100 of “The Jordan” bacon rolls for FREE, whilst stocks last… for better or for worse.
