Switzerland favourites for Eurovision 2024 victory

Nemo 9/4 from 30/1 to win award…

Switzerland is currently BetVictor’s outright favourite to win this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, defying their 30/1 odds when the market first opened to top the betting in the lead up to the competition.

Nemo’s The Code has been a hit with the public since being announced as the Swiss nomination and they now lead the market at 9/4 to win their third Eurovision title. Previous favourites Croatia have subsequently eased from 11/4 to 4/1, with the United Kingdom likewise going the other way from 6/1 to 30/1.

Sam Boswell, spokesperson of BetVictor:

“Few would have imagined Switzerland to even be in the conversation for Eurovision favouritism a couple of months ago, but they now remarkably lead the betting with us to win their third title in Sweden later this year. Switzerland were as high as 30/1 to win this year’s contest but have been backed all the way into 9/4 – stealing the top spot in the market from previous favourites Croatia, who have drifted from 11/4 to 4/1.

“The United Kingdom were considered one of the frontrunners for this year’s crown but now sit tenth in the betting at 30/1, with hosts Sweden not far behind at 35/1.”

The UK is being represented this year by Olly Alexander with his track co-written with Danny L Harle. The Years and Years singer and actor has scored 2 #1 UK albums, 10 UK Top 40 singles and was recently awarded the BRIT Billion Award – with 6.5 billion streams globally. Now his music is evolving into a solo project and, in 2024 with this new era he takes on the Eurovision battle to bring the contest back to the UK.

In December William Hill made Olly Alexander, and his UK song Dizzy, second favourite to win, this appears to now be slipping away.
