TV adventurer Bear Grylls will host his Gone Wild adventure festivals in Norfolk and Devon…
Gone Wild, the UK’s fastest-growing family festival, will host a series of amazing bands, acts and speakers, alongside incredible experiences organisers say. Providing action-packed family-friendly adventure, rewilding experiences, and entertainment over four days, families can look forward to more than 100 incredible free daytime experiences.
These include the legendary Gone Wild Assault Course, archery, abseiling, survival skills, axe and spear throwing, tree climbing, raft building and races, shelter construction, wild swimming, and SUP experiences. To help keep costs down, kids’ meals start from as little as £5.
Taking place at Holkham Hall in Norfolk (8-11 August), and Powderham Castle in Devon (22-25 August), the UK’s ultimate family adventure festivals will see Eurovision legend Sam Ryder perform at both events alongside Dick&Dom’s legendary DJ Set. McFly, Example, Reef, Scouting for Girls, and The Cuban Brothers will appear at Gone Wild Norfolk. James, The Feeling, Jake Shears, Ocean Colour Scene, and Ash will complete the line-up at Gone Wild Devon.
A line-up of speakers at both events includes: Gone Wild co-founder and TV adventurer Bear Grylls; British explorer, adventurer and writer Sir Ranulph Fiennes; former Welsh rugby star Alix Popham, and TV personality Harrison Ward, better known as The Fell Foodie. English rugby star Joe Marler will be joined at Gone Wild Norfolk by British naturalist and environmentalist Catherine Capon, and World Record holding endurance cyclist Jenny Graham.
Headline daytime entertainment will feature high-energy workouts with Mr Motivator, side-splitting gory stories with Horrible Histories, and ‘live dinosaur’ experiences provided by Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Dinomania.
Commenting on Gone Wild’s 2024 festival Bear Grylls, who has recently launched his new book Mind Fuel for Young Explorers:
“We can’t wait to bring Gone Wild to Holkham Hall in Norfolk for the first time, and to return to our festival birthplace, Powderham Castle in Devon. We have amazing bands, inspirational speakers and the perfect locations for wild experiences on land and on water.
“Our goal is to get families spending time together in the great outdoors, sparking their imagination, building confidence, encouraging inquisitive minds and confidence in kids. Surrounded by thousands of acres of parkland with deer, mighty oaks, walled gardens, and stunning views, we’re providing the perfect place to spend time together. Where else can you learn how to light fires, go climbing, and then throw your mum down a 50-foot mudslide before partying and dancing the night away watching an amazing line-up of live music?”
