Jason Manford is to host a new quiz show for the Beeb.
The Answer Run will see three pairs battle it out in a fast paced, quick-thinking general knowledge quiz show, where contestants are always one swipe away from banking the cash or crashing out.
The format is based on 50/50 decisions where each question can only fit into one of the two answers provided. However, faced with the pressure of The Answer Run, will the teams make the right call as to which way to swipe before they run out of time?
As the show progresses, teams will be gradually eliminated until only one pair remains. This final duo will then get the opportunity to confront The Answer Run one last time, aiming to secure the money they have accumulated throughout the episode.

“I’m chuffed to bits to be back on BBC Daytime again with The Answer Run. I really feel like this is going to be one of those addictive TV quiz shows where you’re sat at home shouting at the telly because you reckon you could have done better! It’s fast paced, full of jeopardy and requires contestants to be able to make split-second decisions. But I promise we will have a laugh too.”
Creative Director for BBC Studios Entertainment Productions, Pete Ogden added: “We’re thrilled to have developed an innovative and exciting quiz format. Jason is the perfect host, bringing his own unique wit and warmth to the show.”
The show will air in a daytime slot on BBC One.
