Denise wakes up in distress following a bad dream. Jack returns home and is short with Denise for missing the court hearing. When Denise asks why he didn’t come home last night, Jack explains that he had to work. Paranoid Denise fears that the case might be connected to the Christmas Day death, so she steals his phone to find out.
At Fox and Hair, Denise overreacts when Penny calls Jack and the phone rings on her desk. Jack arrives, and a row breaks out.
Later, Denise seeks out an unlikely confidante.
