Celebrity Guests Take Centre Stage at Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show, London…
The countdown is on until Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show, the UK’s longest-running travel show featuring the latest holiday offerings and newest destinations hotspots, returns to Olympia London. Running from 1-4 February 2024, this year the event welcomes a multitude of celebrity guest speakers, from the likes of award-winning chef Michel Roux to ‘Trigger Happy’ star Dom Joly, as well as a variety of travel experts from across the globe.
Taking to ‘The Travel Stage’, TV presenter and explorer, Simon Reeve, attending with exhibitor Kuoni, will be sharing tales of his explorations to over 120 countries and remarkable memories from various impressive expeditions. You can hear from Simon on Friday 2nd February 13:00–14:00.
Also gracing ‘The Travel Stage’, broadcaster Kate Humble, will be talking about her adventures and life in travel. In conversation with exhibitor, Wild Frontiers and their founder Jonny Bealby, Kate will be talking about her experiences in places such as Afghanistan, her journey along Oman’s Frankincense Trail and tiger spotting in India and more.
Paul Goldstein, award-winning photographer and conservationist will be holding “Wildlife Exposed” and “Poles Apart” sessions on the ‘Meet The Experts’ stage on Saturday 3rd Feb at 14:15-15:00 and Sunday 4th February at 15:00-15:45. Sharing his time spent on the plains of Kenya, the icy poles, the Pantanal and more – these are two talks not to be missed.
Comedian Dom Joly, will be entertaining the crowd on Saturday 3rd February, 16:00-17:00, as he discusses his new book, ‘Dom Joly: The Conspiracy Tourist’. Dom will be talking to Antony Garvey, head of the video news team at Global, about his discoveries as he embarked on a global journey, entering the strange land of conspiracies as a wide-eyed tourist.
One of the world’s most respected chefs, and two Michelin star awarded Michel Roux will also be making a guest appearance at the London show on 2nd February. Discussing his favourite dishes and cuisines discovered on his culinary travels around the world, this conversation is set to be a fan favourite amongst attendees.
If that’s not enough to whet the appetite, Australian photographer and author Simon Bajada will be taking to ‘Food & Travel Stage’ on Saturday 3rd February, 12:00 – 13:00 with Visit Malta, as he cooks up a storm of Maltese cuisine and discusses his varied career in food, travel and photography.

Chief Travel writer at the Sunday Times, Chris Haslam, will be chairing a panel on the best-value destinations for 2024 on Sunday 4th February, 11:30-12:15, with Laura Jackson, Deputy Head of Travel, Lizzie Frainier, Associate Editor and Claudia Rowan, Commissioning Editor at The Times and Sunday Times.
Head of Travel at The Times and Sunday Times, Claire Irvin, will be discussing What is Luxury Travel on ‘The Travel Stage’, 12:15-13:-00 on Thursday 1st February and Will Lyons, wine columnist at The Sunday Times and VP of The Sunday Times Wine Club, will be taking you on a journey of wine exploration and tastings at 15.45-16.00. From the fairy-tale châteaux of the Loire Valley to the relaxed, rural back lanes of Sonoma County, wander through the vineyards with Will as he shares his top tips from more than a decade writing and adventuring along the wine route and reveals some of the best places, beyond the classics, to enjoy a holiday in Wine Country.
