Pick of the Plots: Monday 15th January

Sam insists Ben and Billy attend Aunt Sal’s funeral, but Phil isn’t convinced by her sudden interest in family.

At the wake Sam is shocked when Harold reveals that Sal left £100,000 to be split three ways between her and her brothers. She demands the money from Phil but he refuses.

Later, Sam is shocked when a jealous Alfie reveals that Phil slept with Emma. She heads back to Peggy’s to blackmail Phil for the inheritance money.

Meanwhile, Suki is spooked when Priya reveals that the builders may have to re-lay the foundations of the café. Suki attempts to dissuade Nish from turning the café into flats. Nish surprisingly agrees, but he’s suspicious when Denise arrives.

Elsewhere, Cindy interferes in Peter’s love life.

Having spent the night together, Sarah invites Damon to join her family for a drink later. Damon agrees, but says he must see Harvey first. As Sarah and Damon head out of Redbank, Adam watches, consumed with rage.

Damon visits Harvey in prison and makes it clear that if he pulls any more stunts, he’s dead. Harvey makes a threat regarding Sarah, causing Damon to lose his temper. As the guards drag him away, Dee-Dee has clocked their exchange from across the room.

Damon joins Sarah and her family in the Bistro and Audrey, Gail and Nick make their disapproval evident. Adam storms over, telling Sarah he knows about Damon’s prison visit and doesn’t want him near Harry.

After being reminded Harry isn’t even his son, Adam’s cut. Adam calls the prison and makes an appointment to visit Harvey. Will Adam make a deal with the devil?

Meanwhile, at No.5, Joseph complains of a temperature. Gemma is concerned, but Chesney is adamant that he’s fine. Gemma shares her concerns about Joseph with Paul. Pointing out that she could jeopardise her situation with social services, he advises her to keep quiet.

In the café, Gemma shares her concerns with Dr Gaddas as a furious Chesney overhears. At No.5, Gemma, Chesney and Paul lark about with the kids, but the mood is broken by the arrival of Linda.

Elsewhere, Dev tells Aadi that there’s no way he’ll allow him to return to his flat and he’s coming home with them. When Asha reveals that she and Nina have broken up, Aadi feels terrible. A guilt-ridden Asha admits to Aadi that she called round when he was sparked out on the sofa.

Also, Cassie calls in the shop and tells Evelyn that she’s donated Terry’s money to a dog charity and she only attacked him to stop him from hurting the dogs.

Coronation Street, ITV1, tonight at 8pm

Chas is wrongfooted when a solemn Liam says that he felt a lump in her breast. Refusing to talk about it, Chas quickly exits, seemingly in denial.

Meanwhile, Mandy is suspicious.

Elsewhere, Ethan tries to help Aaron, but when Aaron tries to kiss him, a furious Ethan storms off leaving him utterly broken and alone.
